Why Use OC Prompts?
\nEvery creator hits a wall. You want to make a new character but every idea feels recycled, generic, or incomplete. OC prompts break through creative blocks by giving you a starting constraint — and constraints breed creativity.
\nThese prompts are organized by category. Pick one that catches your eye and build outward from there.
\n\nPersonality Prompts
\n- \n
- A character who lies compulsively — not to deceive, but because the truth feels too vulnerable. \n
- Someone who is terrifyingly competent at their job but cannot maintain a single personal relationship. \n
- A person who speaks to animals more honestly than they speak to people. \n
- A relentless optimist in a world that has given them every reason not to be. \n
- Someone who collects debts — not money, but favors. They always remember who owes them. \n
- A character who is genuinely kind but deeply uncomfortable receiving kindness in return. \n
- A person who has memorized the exit routes of every room they have ever entered. \n
- Someone whose anger is completely silent — no shouting, no threats, just cold, precise action. \n
- A character who adopts a new personality every few years because they have never found one that fits. \n
- A person who laughs at funerals — not from disrespect, but from a nervous system they cannot control. \n

Worldbuilding Prompts
\n- \n
- A species that communicates through color changes in their skin rather than sound. \n

- A culture where names are earned through deeds, and children are called by numbers until they prove themselves. \n
- A world where magic exists but is treated like a chronic illness — managed, medicated, sometimes shameful. \n
- A society that resolved war by making all leaders fight personally rather than sending armies. \n
- A species that experiences time differently — their past and future are equally uncertain. \n
- A world where the dead can be consulted but their answers are unreliable. \n
- A culture where art is the primary currency and forgery is the worst crime. \n
