A home for original characters, worldbuilders, and roleplayers
CharHaven keeps character notes, images, relationships, timelines, and world lore together instead of scattering them across documents and chat threads.
A name and one sentence are enough to begin. Every other field can wait, and new characters are private by default.
What you can do here
Use the parts that fit your character. Nothing needs to be completed before you save.
Character Profiles
Use fields for personality, backstory, appearance, traits, and relationships, plus a free-form section for anything that does not fit.
World Builder
Keep a setting's history, factions, geography, and lore together. Link characters when they belong to that world.
Gallery & Art
Keep reference sheets, concept art, and illustrations with the character they belong to.
Matchmaking
Browse roleplay requests by genre, writing style, character type, and availability. Compatibility still depends on a conversation between the writers.
Realms & Community
Join or create Realms around a shared world or genre. Chat, share updates, and write roleplay threads with the group.
Public Discovery
Search the public profiles that creators have chosen to publish. Filter by name, species, tags, or update date.
Privacy Controls
Choose a visibility setting for each character and use mature-content labels where required.
Profile Customization
Express your style with cosmetic items from the Haven Shop — custom borders, backgrounds, chat flair, badges, and more. Supporter plans unlock CSS profile editing.
What we commit to
Creator Ownership
Your characters remain yours. CharHaven uses only the licence described in the Terms to host and display work you upload. Export and deletion controls are available in your account.
A place to give feedback
Members can report problems and suggest improvements. Feedback informs priorities, but it does not guarantee that a requested feature will be built.
Visible safety controls
Community rules, mature-content labels, blocking, and reporting reduce unwanted exposure and give moderators evidence to review. No online space can promise that abuse will never occur.
Maintained and recoverable
The service is monitored, backed up, and tested on desktop and mobile. Outages can still happen; the support page is the place to report one.
Who Uses CharHaven?

Tabletop players can record campaign characters, party members, NPCs, and setting notes between sessions.
Fiction Writers
Fiction writers can use a profile as a reference for a character's voice, history, relationships, and part in the story.

Get in Touch
CharHaven is run by a small team. Use the same address for press, partnership, legal, or support questions.
The plain version
We will explain what the product does, publish material changes, protect account data with reasonable safeguards, and provide a route to report problems. We will not claim that a small community is huge or promise outcomes we cannot control.
