Yes. A free account includes character profiles, worlds, gallery uploads, the community feed, and roleplay listings. Paid plans raise some limits and add cosmetic or advanced customization options.

Click "Register" on the top navigation bar. You can sign up with an email and password or use one of the supported social sign-in options. After registering, you'll be guided through onboarding to set up your first character.

Standard free accounts include up to 5 character profiles, 3 world pages, and basic community features. Premium membership plans remove character and world limits, add high-resolution asset storage, and unlock advanced customization.

Go to the Character Create page from your dashboard. You'll fill in your character's name, species, personality, backstory, appearance, and other fields. You can also upload a profile image, add gallery art, and link your character to a world.

Yes. Each character has individual visibility controls — you can set profiles to Public (anyone can view), Followers Only, or Private (only you). You can change this at any time from the character edit page.

A Dossier is a compact, shareable reference card for your character — useful for quick introductions in RP threads, partner pitches, and forum posts. It pulls key traits and a summary image from your full character profile.

Open your character's edit page and scroll to the Gallery section. You can upload reference sheets, concept art, and illustrations directly. Premium members get higher storage limits and resolution support.

Yes. The character relationship system lets you link characters as allies, rivals, family, rivals, or custom relationship types. These links appear on each character's profile and help visitors understand your universe.

Use the Matchmaking page to browse partners filtered by genre, writing style, character type, and availability. You can also follow creators from the Discover page, join Realm communities, or reply to forum RP recruitment threads.

CharHaven supports all creative fiction genres — fantasy, sci-fi, romance, horror, slice of life, historical, mystery, fanfiction, and more. The tagging and discovery system lets you filter by genre, species, tone, and writing style.

Realms are community spaces built around a shared world, genre, or creative theme. You can join existing Realms or create your own to host RP threads, recruit partners, and build a dedicated creative group.

Yes. CharHaven includes a real-time community hub chat and direct messaging between members. Chat supports custom emotes, username flair, and other cosmetic items from the Haven Shop.

From your dashboard, click "Create World" and fill in your world's name, description, genre tags, and lore summary. You can add a banner image, link characters who inhabit the world, and invite collaborators.

Yes. World owners can invite contributors who can add characters and lore to a shared world. This is ideal for collaborative fiction groups, tabletop RPG campaigns, and shared universe projects.

Haven Coins (HC) are the in-platform currency used to purchase cosmetic items in the Haven Shop. You can earn coins through arcade games, community events, achievements, and quests — or purchase them directly.

The shop sells cosmetic items including profile borders, card backgrounds, chat username flair, custom titles, emotes, badges, card skins, and character effects. None of these purchases affect gameplay or discovery rankings.

Permanent items never expire after purchase. Limited-edition seasonal items have an availability window shown in the shop, but once purchased they remain in your inventory permanently.

After purchase, open the Shop and go to your owned items. Click "Equip" on any item to activate it. You can only equip one item per slot at a time and can swap freely at any point.

Creators retain 100% intellectual property rights to all content uploaded to CharHaven. You can export or delete your character records at any time. CharHaven does not claim ownership of your creative work.

Technical issues or bugs should be reported via the Feedback Page. Include clear steps to reproduce the issue and any relevant browser or device information to help our engineering team resolve it faster.

CharHaven uses content labels, automated safety signals, reports, and human review. These controls reduce harm but cannot prevent every bad interaction. You can block a member or report content from the relevant page.

Account deletion requests can be submitted through the Support Center. All associated character data, gallery images, and personal information will be permanently removed within 30 days in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
