Byakuya is arrogant, seeing himself superior to his peers due to having fought to become the heir to his family's massive financial conglomerate. However, he is a sensible student who holds a truthful, albeit cynical, outlook on the world. He is ruthlessly honest about his opinions and often hurts others with his blunt remarks. Despite his negative attitude, he does occasionally lend a hand to other characters.
